From the Western Mail 8th November 1921 -
"Cardiff Honour French Heroes. When the Cardiff team visited Paris last week a striking tribute was paid to the French heroes who fell in the war. Before the match at Colombes on Wednesday, the president (Mr. W. T. Morgan) laid a wreath on the Cenotaph erected on the ground, and then the players, committeemen, and supporters sang a verse of "Jesu, Lover of my Soul." The singing was most impressive, and was listened to in silence by the hugh crowd."
