Object Id:

Blazer badge belonging to Ivor Williams.
Info:
Cardiff’s representative on the 1938 Lions tour to South Africa was flank-forward Ivor Williams, one of six uncapped players in the squad. The side lost the series 2-1 and were the last to play in blue jerseys. Williams appeared in seven tour games, despite acquiring an early injury from a fall in the Cango Caves in the Western Cape. The incident, which occurred on Williams’ birthday, happened in complete darkness following a light failure and ruled him out of the next four matches.
