The Cardiff RFC Former Players Association was formed in 1984. It was the brain child of the late Stanley Bowes, probably the best known world wide Non International prop forward, and Stan was Chairman.
The President was the late Wilfred Wooller, whilst the original committee included Dr. "C.D." Williams, and J.D.Nelson, who was Hon. Secretary.
On the death of Stan, the Chairmanship of the Former Players' Association was taken up by “C.D.” whilst some years later Dr.Jack Matthews became the President.
