Warburton was the youngest ever Lions captain at the age of 24. The Australia series was won 2-1, and then Sam was re-appointed for the 2017 tour which resulted in a win apiece plus one drawn test. Along with Martin Johnson, Sam is the only player to have captained the Lions on two occasions.
