Welsh Snelling Sevens tournament at Rodney Parade, Newport 30th April 1955.
Cardiff entered a young seven, only Gordon Wells and Gareth Griffiths had ‘sevens’ experience which they had acquired at St. Luke’s College. Cardiff won the tournament beating Pontypridd, Aberavon, Newbridge and in the final, Newport by eight points to three.
Cardiff Team - J. C. Crothers, J. H. Thomas, K. Richards, L. Williams, G. Griffiths (Capt.), G. Wells and T. Donovan.
