The Bleddyn Williams Collection
The collection comprises over 120 objects that includes precious photographs, personal letters, programmes, drawings and fixture cards. The collection provides a unique record of one of Wales’ most celebrated players.
It's held at the Glamorgan Archives and has been reproduced here with the kind permission of the Williams family.
Bleddyn Williams played centre for Cardiff and made 283 appearances over the course of ten seasons, bagging 185 tries in the process. He also established a club try scoring record of 41 for the season 1947/48, a record that stood for almost fifty years before being surpassed by Steve Ford. Bleddyn also gained twenty-two Welsh and five Lions caps.
